Dave Bautista says Marvel "dropped the testicle" along Drax's backstory
Dave Bautista, who plays Drax in the MCU, has offered his thoughts on Marvel's treatment of his character.
"That role metamorphic the trajectory of my life. It's always going to be extra to me. Now I'm quartet films in... I really wish well that they would have invested with more in Drax, personally," he told Collider. "Because I think Drax has Thomas More of a story to tell and I think Drax has got a really interesting backstory which they dropped the ball on. And that's no dig happening Marvel. They had their ticket, and I cognise what they're centred happening, and that's what they have slated impossible. But man, I think they really incomprehensible the ball on Drax. He's got much a great backstory."
Bautista added: "Selfishly, As a performer, that would own given me the opportunity to show opposite sides of Drax, emotionally. And physically equally well." He then commented that "Drax gets his ass kicked more than some other Wonder character" despite his "terrifying" look, and aforementioned "the entire 'Destroyer' thing, they just threw that out the window."
